SPAWU DEPARTMENTS

Administration and Management Department:

-Handles overall administrative tasks, record-keeping, and communication within the union.
-Manages membership records, dues collection, and general inquiries.

Legal and Grievance Department:

-Provides legal support and advice to members facing workplace issues, disputes, or violations of their rights.
-Manages the grievance process, ensuring that members' concerns are addressed and resolved.

Organizing Department:

-Focuses on recruiting new members, building a sense of community among workers, and expanding the union's presence.
-Coordinates campaigns to raise awareness about workers' rights and the benefits of unionization.

Education and Training Department:

-Organizes workshops, seminars, and training sessions to empower members with knowledge about labor laws, workers' rights, and effective communication skills.
-Helps members understand their rights and responsibilities within the union.

Negotiations and Collective Bargaining Department:

-Engages in negotiations with employers to secure better working conditions, wages, benefits, and job security for members.
-Prepares for and participates in collective bargaining sessions.

Women's and Diversity Department:

-Focuses on addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by women, minorities, and marginalized workers in the agriculture sector.
-Promotes inclusion and diversity within the union.
